KATE, the Duchess of Cambridge sent Twitter into meltdown after appearing on ITV’s This Morning show as social media users described her as lovely and natural.
The Duchess of Cambridge has today launched a new initiative with the National Portrait Gallery titled Hold Still, which invites the public to contribute to a nationwide photography project giving a snapshot of what life is really like in lockdown. To discuss the project further as well as life during such unprecedented times, The Duchess of Cambridge spoke with hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning. Kate, 38, sent social media users into a flurry as they hailed her as a credit to the Royal Family.
Royal fans took to Twitter to share their admiration for the Duchess.
One wrote: “Well done This Morning. The interview with The Duchess of Cambridge was fantastic.
“It just shows how times have changed and The Royals are so much closer to the people in this country.”
Another added: “This Morning really good interview. She comes across like she cares. Think she will be a good Queen when its her time.”
A third person wrote: “I think the Royal Family are so grateful to have Kate Middleton.”
A fourth added: “Im not sure why Im so surprised by the interview with Kate Middleton but she really does seem like a genuine and generous woman.
“Shes a credit to the Royal Family.”
During the intimate interview, Kate opened up about some of the heartbreaking stories she had heard of families struggling with the UK’s coronavirus lockdown.
She was shown an image of children reaching out to their grandparents with a glass window between them.
Commenting on the touching moment, the Duchess said: “Moments like this I think are so special.
“There are some desperately sad stories out there, but moments like this are really heartwarming to see, that actually there is a connection there.
“Its different, it is the new normal for all of us but actually those moments can take place and I think it really resonated with me that photograph.”
Asked how she is coping herself in these peculiar times, the Duchess was stoic.
She said: “Fine, thank you. Its extraordinary.
“Im sure youre experiencing the same yourselves and your families and things.
“Were stuck into homeschooling again.
“Theyre unprecedented times really. But no were fine, thank you for asking.”
