Kate Middleton exposes what really happened in heartwarming Prince Louis birthday photos

THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE, Kate Middleton, appeared on This Morning today alongside Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to discuss her latest campaign.

Kate Middleton appeared on the ITV daytime show via video link as Holly and Phil quizzed her about her latest photo-sharing campaign. The This Morning duo were keen to learn more about the Duchess’ new project as she encourages those in lockdown to capture and share their poignant photos amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Being a keen photographer herself, Holly and Phil wasted no time in asking the royal about a recent snap of Prince Louis.

On his second birthday earlier this year, the Duchess shared a series of snaps of the young royal getting to grips with finger paints.

Captioned “Instagram vs reality”, one photo showed Prince Louis with paint on his hands before a second with it smeared on his face.

The adorable pictures have been liked over 1.5million times on the social media platform.

However, the Duchess of Cambridge has revealed there was one snap fans didn’t see from the photoshoot.

When Holly and Phil brought up how sweet the photos were, Kate Middleton revealed she was in a similar messy state.

She revealed: “I shouldve taken a photograph of what I looked like after as well!

“Luckily, that wasnt documented but I was pretty much, I looked like Louis at the end of those.”

The royal then encouraged viewers to share their favourite photos of their own as part of the Hold Still project.

The Duchess explained the reason behind her involvement in the project: “I think weve all seen some incredible images out there and heard some amazing stories and some desperately sad stories, but also some really uplifting ones as well.

“And I really hope that through a project like this we might be able to showcase some of those stories.”

“To document and share a moment in time I suppose that we are all experiencing.”

Prince William‘s spouse will be taking part in the project from the confines of her own home and she touched upon what life is like with the young children during the lockdown.

On homeschooling Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte, the Duchess admitted: “George gets very upset, because he just wants to do all of Charlottes projects. Spider sandwiches are far cooler than literacy work!”

Phil and Holly shared a laugh with Kate before the royal opened up on the hardships the lockdown measures have also brought.

She confessed: “Its really hard and actually we hadnt done a huge amount of FaceTime and face calls and things like that, but obviously were doing that a lot more now and actually its been really great.”

“We try and check in daily with family members and speak to them about news and things like that.”

“In some ways, I suppose weve got a lot more contact and a lot more face time than perhaps we wouldve done before.”
