Coronation Street spoilers: Billy Mayhew fears child rapist Kel will strike again

After discovering that Kel abused Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) as a teenager, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) will tonight fear that the predator could strike again after spotting him with Chesney Browns (Sam Aston) young son Joseph. As the vicar tries to get through to Paul that he was abused, is he right to be afraid that Kel still poses a danger?

It emerged to fans that Kel had a secret relationship with an underage Paul while dating Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) and then disappeared from the family after Paul was pushed over the edge and snapped. However, his mum and sister Gemma (Dolly Rose Campbell) remain oblivious to what he went through.

Paul has opened up to Billy and when Billy is afraid after seeing Kel spending time with Joseph, Paul snaps at Billy that his relationship with Kel was consensual and orders him to back off. It becomes clear that Paul felt he was in love with Kel but Billy tries to get through to him that he was groomed and taken advantage of.

Later, Paul spends time with the family, including Kel, and finds himself enjoying the experience, which leaves him more confused and torn than ever. But when he makes a pass at Kel next week, he realises that Kel only ever found him attractive as a teenage boy.

As the truth of what Billy has said hits home to a traumatised Paul, he will lash out and brutally attack Kel, leaving him unconcious. After the violent altercation, Kel will decide not to press charges, evidently worried that his own dark secrets will come to the fore.
