The BBC show, which is the brainchild of actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge who writes and stars in the comedy, took home Emmys for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Comedy Series. Phoebe was also won the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
Fleabag is the first British-made show to ever win an Emmy for Best Comedy Series. Despite the shows success however, Phoebe has ruled out making another season of Fleabag – or at least not until the 34-year-old turns 50.

Fleabag, played by Phoebe, is a woman living in London trying to navigate life whilst dealing with the perils of love and the pain of tragedy. The show follows her dysfunctional family relationships and questionable romantic choices, with Fleabag turning to talk to the viewer directly during the episodes, drawing them into her hilarious and chaotic world.

Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman stars alongside Phoebe as selfish and villainous character Godmother, while Sian Clifford has won praise for her performance as Claire, Fleabags neurotic sister.
Arriving with much acclaim in season two was actor Andrew Scott who plays a character simply known as The Priest. He was quickly dubbed Hot Priest by fans of the show thanks to his role in the show.
