Christie Brinkley has been replaced by her daughter Sailor on Dancing With The Stars after sustaining an injury forced her to drop out.
The American model, who shares Sailor with architect husband Peter Halsey Cook, quit the show after she stumbled over her partners foot during rehearsals which lead her to require surgery to her wrist and arm, according to ABC.
Announcing the news on the broadcaster in a statement, Christie said: Showbiz is all about getting a break, and Sailor and I both got one on Dancing with the Stars this season.
Joking about breaking her arm, she continued: Sailor joined the cast when I got mine… ouch somebody stop me, it hurts to laugh!
Sailor is excited to be filling in though and speaking on Good Morning America she revealed she wants to make her mum proud.
I felt this high of just attacking something I was so afraid of and it felt like something I need to do, she admitted. I think it will change me.
Im doing this mostly for my mom. I just want to make her happy and make her proud.
She loved doing this, she loves dancing and she loves performing and getting hurt was her worst nightmare.
