Strictly Come Dancing has given us the teaser weve all been waiting for – a first look at Jamie Laings replacement, Kelvin Fletcher.
In a new glitzy video, shared onto the popular shows Instagram, fans can get their first taste of what they can expect from the Emmerdale star.
Chatting into the camera, dressed in full ballroom garb, the 35-year-old beamed down the lens as he introduced himself.
Hello, Im Kelvin Fletcher, and Im an actor, he said: People will probably best know me for playing Andy Sugden on Emmerdale.
Rubbing his hand up and down his sparkly spandex, the soapie grinned: Its a whole new world to me, naturally, even this feels a little bit alien, but I quite like it.
He went onto tell viewers what hell be bringing to the table – and it sounds all kinds of fun.
As an actor, I could bring the story, the narrative, in each performance, pausing for a moment Kelvin laughed: If I cant do that then, might as well give up as an actor, hadnt I?
And while it seems he cant wait to get on those dancing shoes, the star couldnt help but give a shoutout to the fantastic music played on the competition.
He smiled: The biggest thing for me about Strictly is the music. Im a huge music fans from all different genres.
When asked who his dancing idol is, Kelvin confessed: My dad.
Growing up watching him dance to Northern Soul… He used to do the little shimmy on the dancefloor, and I used to think, “Ohh he looks cool.”
The actor concluded: Now is my chance to try and emulate him.
Kelvin was announced as the final contestant after Jamie Laing pulled out of the show following an injury.
However, its rumoured that this isnt the end of the road for the Made In Chelsea star, as sources claim hes been offered a spot in next years line-up.
