EastEnders has cast the son of paedophile Tony King in a huge new story for Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty). Viewers were shocked to see Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) tackle mysterious stranger Leo and discover that he is the offspring of Tony, Biancas ex who groomed and abused teenager Whitney while in a relationship with her mum.
The hard hitting storyline was one of EastEnders grittiest and Tony was eventually jailed before he later took his life in prison. Leo has arrived looking to prove his late dads innocence. Bianca has only just found out that Tony had a son and he is making demands, telling her he wants back the money Tonys mum gave to Bianca to help her – and he wants to know the truth about Tony.
Bianca warned him to stay away from Tiffany (Maisie Smith) after he continuously lurked nearby and she told him that the truth about Tony is that he was a child abuser, preying after young girls before adding that the apple clearly didnt fall far from the tree.
With Bianca having refused to give in to Leos demands, he gave the sinister warning that he would be seeing her family again soon – and this fits in with recent promises from bosses that there is a huge two year plan for Whitneys major plotline.
Tom Wells has joined the cast of EastEnders to take on the role of Leo. Tom has previously starred in Doctors and Bancroft. On joining EastEnders, Tom said: Im really excited to be joining the EastEnders team and seeing whats in store for Leo. Hes definitely a man not to be trusted and I cant wait to see him settle into Walford, its going to be fun.
