Tom Ellis has revealed filming on the fifth season of Lucifer is underway, with the cast and crew in celebratory mode.

After the first episode title for the final season was revealed recently, Tom has confirmed filming on Lucifers fifth season is officially underway.

Posting on Instagram a shot with the cast and crew, Tom wrote: So after a little self-enforced insta-break the past few weeks Im up and running again and Im delighted to say we are BACK!!!!!!

While the fifth season will be the last, Netflix confirmed they have almost doubled the episode count – which basically wedges a season six into one.

Tom recently spoke about how the thought of the final episode is already making him emotional, saying: I can categorically say that I will never have another experience like this. When they call cut on the last day, its going to be a lot to take in.
