Austin Butler has been cast as Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmanns biopic of the King of RocknRoll, beating out a host of young Hollywoods hottest stars.
And Harry Styles, who was on the shortlist, isnt bitter at all.
(We mean that sincerely.)
The 25-year-old was one of the stars considered to play Elvis in the upcoming film, alongside Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
But after Austin Butler was cast, Harry reckons he just wasnt the right person for the role.
Speaking to The Face, the Sign Of The Times singer said: I feel like if Im not the right person for the thing, then its best for both of us that I dont do it, you know?
[Elvis] was such an icon for me growing up. There was something almost sacred about him, almost like I didnt want to touch him.
Then I ended up getting into [his life] a bit and I wasnt disappointed.
Luhrmanns Harry-less biopic is set for release in 2021.
Another movie role Harry wont be playing is Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid, after the former One Direction star was heavily rumoured to play Ariels love interest opposite Halle Bailey in the live-action remake.
However, this was all Harrys choice, as he just wants to focus on his tunes for a while.
The Kiwi singer said: It was discussed. I want to put music out and focus on that for a while. But everyone involved in it was amazing, so I think its going to be great. Ill enjoy watching it, Im sure.
Wont we all, Hazza.
