Hunter Owen (Charlie Winter) is desperate for revenge in EastEnders – all he wants is to kill Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and this leads to a gun rampage in the Queen Vic. But as a shot rings out, who lives and who dies?
Mel (Tamzin Outhwaite) had been planning to get her fugitive son out of the country but he is less interested in escaping than he is making Jack pay for betraying him to the police. Having laid in wait for Jack and tackled Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Hunter targets the Vic, knowing that Jack is inside.
Of course, the Vic is packed for the post wedding party, with all of the explosive storylines of the week coming together in the venue. And as Hunter sneaks in through the barrel store, armed and dangerous, Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) tries to reason with him.
All Hunter wants is Jack but when Jack then comes face to face with him, things get even more serious. Hunter ends up in the centre of the Vic and telling everyone to get on the ground. As he aims his gun at the various residents of the Square, a struggle will ensue and the gun goes off.
