The Good Places Jason Mendoza nearly died trapped in a safe, wearing a snorkel, after doing a bunch of whippets.
As Chidi Anagonye said: What a grim way to die.
But while that certainly is a pretty weird way to go, some fans noticed something prominent – the name of the safe company was Swansons Safes. As in, Parks and Recs Ron Swanson.
With showrunner Mike Schur keeping an eye over both shows (plus Brooklyn 99 for good measure), could it be possible that at some point in the future, therell be some epic B99/GoodPlace/Parks and Rec crossover?
Well, Manny Jacinto – that actor who plays Jason – is certainly on board with the idea! And even seemed to hint that it could totally happen at some point in the shows future.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, he told us: I honestly would be so excited for something like that to happen. I cant say if it will or it wont but also, I dont know! I cant say anything!
Lets put that out there into the world and hopefully see that something like that could happen, because that would be amazing if we could pull that off.
Over the course of The Good Places run, there have been subtle little easter eggs to drop hints that all three shows lived in one, enclosed universe. (A Schurniverse?)
While Eleanor Shellstrop waited in line at the grocery store, she was seen reading a magazine which had an ad on the back for Jean-Ralphio champagne (as in the Indiana schemer who was the woooooorrst in Parks and Rec).
Just in case we werent sure? The slogan of the ad was turn that frizown upsidizity.
There are also several double-ups of actors taking on roles in numerous comedy series realities – with Adam Scott playing the evil Trevor in The Good Place, but the lovable Ben in Parks and Rec.
Mark Evan Jackson, who plays demon Shawn, is also Captain Holts long-suffering husband in B99.
However, while it seems highly likely that there could be a crossover, DArcy Carden (who plays the loveable all-knowing Janet on The Good Place) isnt so sure it could word out.
More: The Good Place
She told us: Theres a world where Parks and Rec and Brooklyn 99 have a crossover and it would make perfect sense. Where it feels like The Good Place, even though theyre back on Earth, it feels like a different world.
Whats the timeline? Where are we? Its all a little science-fictiony, and sci-fi, she told us. Not to say that its impossible, and Mike Schur clearly likes to hire the same people over and over again, like Mark Evan Jackson and Jason Mantzoukas are good examples, and maybe theyll be some more of that. But I dont particularly see them having a crossover. But never say never, baby!
The Good Place season three continues Fridays on Netflix for the UK.
