Samira was left devastated after Frankie Foster lost the public vote (Picture: ITV)

Samira left the villa after her love interest Frankie Foster was given the boot, news which left her devastated earlier this week.

Frankie was one of two people voted out along with Grace Wardle on Monday night – but Samira has now decided she wants to join her villa partner back in the outside world.

Speaking to Dani the night before she left, she explained: Weve been here from the start and I finally got what I wanted and now I feel like Im back at square one but worst. Its unfinished business.

I dont feel like Im going to meet anyone else and have a connection with anyone else. You know how hard it is for me to meet someone and actually get a connection with them. Also all my best mates are moving on in here. I want to stay so bad but I cant be happy in here anymore. Im going to sleep on it tonight.

Samira confirmed the following morning she had decided to leave – later admitting in the Beach Hut she had been devastated by the decision, but said she knew she was doing the right thing.

As for Frankie, he previously revealed he had told Samira to stay on and not leave the villa for him, telling a fan: I told her to stick it out, its a once in a lifetime opportunity and only a few weeks left.

He also took to Instagram to show off a little treat she left for him in his suitcase.

Not sure when she managed to sneak this in my case but it makes me even more excited to see her! he told his followers.

Frankie later admitted how excited he was that she had left and that they would soon be reunited.

Who was Samira coupled up with during the series?

Samira began the series coupled up with Dr Alex – although no romance blossomed, with the pair remaining squarely in the friend zone.

The West End performer got a chance of something more serious when Sam Bird came along and she coupled up with him – landing her first kiss of the series.

However it wasnt until Frankie – who was one of 12 newcomers to enter Casa Amor before arriving in the villa – came along that Samira really found herself connecting with someone in the villa.

However their time together in the villa was cruelly cut short – with Samira seen breaking down in tears as he was revealed to have been voted out.

When is Love Island on?

Love Island continues on ITV2 on Thursday night at 9pm.
