Mick Carter could be set to become the latest EastEnders killer when he comes face to face with menacing Aidan Maguire in what could be a very bloody and final showdown.
Aidan has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in Walford as he has even had the likes of Phil Mitchell and Vincent Hubbard dancing to his tune. But Mick soon decides that it’s time to fight back – and has allies including Vincent, Mel Owen, Jack Branning and the don himself Billy Mitchell.
Never one to back down, Aidan keeps up with his threats against both the Carters and the Mitchells, convinced that one of the families have been behind the money going missing. Little does he actually know that Ciara got the cash back after Sharon, who originally took it from Ben, was forced to hand it over.
After finding the Vic covered in petrol, Mick takes a number given to him by Mel and contacts a hitman but when the hired assassin asks Mick whether he truly wants to take this course of action, he and Linda are unsure.
One way or another though, they want Aidan gone for good and as the Carters prepare to leave the Square, Mick slips back to the Vic under the guise of forgetting something and lies in wait for Aidan.
The showdown which follows looks set to be climactic as Mick and Aidan go to war – is Mick set to kill Aidan to protect his family? And if so, will his allies stand by him and help him cover up a murder?
One to watch: Friday 9th March at 8pm on BBC One.
