He might have been a hit with his fellow Voice coaches – but it seems not everybody approves of Olly Murs joining the panel of the show.
But it’s OK – because the singer came up with a pretty decent analogy to try and persuade one sceptical viewer to tune in.
The viewer voiced their opinion of the new panel, suggesting that they perhaps shouldn’t keep changing the coaches quite so often.
‘So first they swap Danny O’Donoghue (the bestest) for whatever his face is,’ the tweet read.
‘Then him for Ricky (he was great) and now they have got Olly Murs as a judge on the voice…. erm bring back the originals.’
‘Wow Leah, you must like the coffee sweets in the quality street tin!’ he quipped. ‘Give me a chance and try the strawberry ones.’
Boom. And clearly it had the desired effect with the viewer admitting she would indeed give him a chance.

‘No offence like but Danny will always be my fave,’ she told him. ‘Imma give you a chance though.’
And it looks as though they ended the chat very amicably.
Oh I love Danny too! Too guy! Thanks for giving me a chance

Olly recently admitted that his transition into the new role has been a good one, despite his obvious nerves.
‘It is mad,’ he said ahead of the series launch.
‘When I first started I was really nervous to be the new member, it is like being in a new class at a new school with all new kids, I have got all these new people to meet and they all know each other and they have got to get to know me.
‘Will they like me or not? I don’t know, but I have settled in brilliantly. ‘I was really nervous to start off but everyone is really lovely and the whole team is great to work with and they have made me feel really welcome. They are really fun,’ he revealed.
The Voice UK 2018 kicks off on ITV on January 6 at 8pm.
