The first stills of Jude Law in the follow up to Fantastic Beasts have arrived – and he’s brought a fresh spin to a much loved Harry Potter character.

The sequel to Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will be released in the latter half of 2018. And having given the title to the next film, as well as images of other characters starring in the sequel, we are now being treated to a proper first look of the British actor playing the iconic wizard in his younger days.

Two images have been released from the film, with one showing what a younger and, erm, hotter Dumbledore looks like, and another shows the return of Johnny Depp as baddy Grindelwald, who is the main villain for the Fantastic Beasts franchise.

A third, behind-the-scenes image also shows Jude Law relaxing with Eddie Redmayne between takes.

The sequel will follow Dumbledore enlisting the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to track the evil Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) down following his escape from Prison, set in 1927.

The new sequel – which also stars Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner, and Claudia Kim – is due to hit screens in November 2018 after wrapping up filming earlier this month.

Johnny Depp’s involvement in the movie has caused some controversy following his divorce from Amber Heard, which saw her accuse him of abuse before allegations were dropped.

JK Rowling was forced to defend the decision to not only cast him, but keep him in the movie following backlash from fans.
