The former Love Island contestant, 21, has been signed up for the return of the popular ice skating contestant show, which also features the likes of Cheryl Baker, Lemar and Donna Air.
His relationship with dance partner Alex Murphy is also getting closer – so close in fact that he’s in regular contact with the professional skater’s mum.
Speaking to The Mirror, Kem said: ‘You get really close with them though, like I Facetime her mum and boyfriend after the session and I’m ruined.
‘Because her mum’s a coach as well so I chat to them, but you’re with them all the time,’ he told of his partner, whom he spends an average of two hours a day with.
Kem previously revealed how his inclusion on the show had helped him get over his split from ex-girlfriend Amber Davies.
He is hoping to win the ice-skating competition when it returns in January and says that concentrating on the show is helping him through the split from girlfriend Amber Davies.
Kem and Amber won Love Island this summer, but announced earlier in December that they were breaking up. The reality TV star says Dancing On Ice has been ‘good’ for him since the breakdown of their relationship.
‘It’s been good for me. I’ve really got into it,’ he commented at the show’s launch at the Natural History Museum Ice Rink.
We’re rooting for you Kem!
Dancing On Ice returns 7 January at 6pm on ITV.
