Good Morning Britain is taking a break for the Christmas period.

It means you’ll have to spend your mornings eating mince pies and leftover turkey instead of feasting on the latest news direct from Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

The ITV breakfast show will not be airing on Christmas Day or Boxing Day, but it will return on Wednesday 27 December.

However, hosts Piers and Susanna won’t be on air as they are having the entire Christmas period off, the lucky devils.

Question: How will you cope without your GMB fix? Answer: With sherry, mince pies and yule log (Picture: ITV)

It will run until Friday 29 December with stand-in hosts, when it will take another break, not airing on Monday 1 January.

GMB will return to its normal running pattern on Tuesday 2 January but Piers and Susanna won’t be on the sofa to welcome us all into 2018.

Susanna, 47, revealed she and Piers, 52, won’t actually be back on screens until Monday 8 January.

Seeing as they signed off for Christmas on Wednesday 20 December, that’s a whole two-and-a-half weeks off they’ve managed to nab!

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV1.
